The 8/06 cam will still provide excellent off idle power but is better suited for faster single track, MX and more open style riding. It gives slightly better overrev power and provides a very good mid range power improvement when added to a big bore or stock motor . When used in a stock motor there is a slight "hit" at 4500 rpm's.

 

Our stage 4 cam is best suited for our higher compression and/or bigger displacements.. The stage 4 is for big bores and higher compression stock motors.  Using this cam in a stock motor, bottom end suffers a little about 10% @ 2000rpm but mid to topend power is increased dramatically and the motor gains a good amount of overrev. Increasing the stock compression from a 11:1 to 12.5:1 piston will offset the bottom end losses. Uses stock valve springs.

 

Our Stage 5 billet cam is for use with our 570 kit and up RFS big bore kits.  This cam has very broad power with very stong off idle power that pulls cleanly through the RPM range, power peaks at 9500 rpms. Requires high lift valve spring kit.

 

Our stage 6 billet cam is for faster riding, high compression applications and drag racing.  This cam makes mid to top power gains with great overrev. Requires high lift valve spring kit.

 

NOTE:  Valve to piston clearance must be checked during installation of both the stage 5 and 6 cams when using any other piston than Thumper Racing pistons.  The 8/06 and stage 4 cams are drop in cams.
