For a nice power boost the 540 gives more power everywhere. What's not to love about more torque and power. The 540 kit gives you the little extra on the 525 to let you pull the hill or turns your 450 into a torque machine.
The 540 kit is available in both 11:1 and 12.5:1 compression. Both run great on premium pump gas. But if you ride in an area where fuel quality is questionable we recommend staying with 11:1 compression.
You can further tune the motor by changing cams and or porting the head which we do in house. The stock cam is good for tight single track and gives the most bottom end power increase but it will need to be short shifted to stay in the "meat of the power". A stage 1 cam will still provide an off idle power increase but is better suited for faster single track, MX and more open style riding. The stage one gives slightly better overrev power and provides a very good low/mid range power improvement when added to the big bore kits. A stage 2 cam provides a strong mid range power increase. This cam is best suited for more open style riding. The stage 3 cam is best suited for our higher compression and/or bigger displacements. The stage 4 is for the power hungry. Bottom end suffers a little about 10% @ 2000rpm unless used with the 98mm+ kits and/or stroker crank. Each cylinder is honed to exact tolerances for the best fit and finish possible.
Your stock cylinders must be sent in for boring or we have core cylinders available with a fully refundable $300 core deposit.

All kits include everything needed for installation except cylinder: Included: Boring and sleeving of the cylinder, piston kit, top end gasket set and cam chain link. This kit will fit the KTM450 EXC/MXC and all KTM 520/525 motors, 450/525XC quad, Polaris Outlaw RFS based motor and Beta RFS based motors.

Option 2: Core Exchange: We send you a core cylinder with the kit already installed and ready to bolt on your motor. $545 for kit plus $300 refundable core deposit, refunded when you return your cylinder to us within 30 days of receiving the kit.
